Quality Policy
Repsol Impacto Social (RIS) is a company wholly owned by the Repsol Foundation that has developed, together with the company Grupo Sylvestris, S.L., the "Motor Verde" project, which aims to develop carbon absorption projects, called Motor Verde forests, both in Spain and Portugal.
All reforestations undertaken within the framework of the "Motor Verde" project aim to develop a triple positive impact (social, economic, and environmental) on the environments and inhabitants of the populations near the forests. This approach is especially significant and differentiating compared to other reforestation alternatives.
In addition, all our forests are registered in the Registry of the Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC) of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) as absorption projects, complying with all the quality standards required by the Ministry.
The Motor Verde marketplace is the tool through which we offer companies and individuals the opportunity to participate in the "Motor Verde" project, with the aim of providing the possibility of making a voluntary contribution to the Motor Verde forests, participating in the triple impact of the project, social, economic, and environmental.
Our commitment to quality assurance and triple positive impact is defined in the "Internal Manual of the Motor Verde Marketplace", which describes all the processes carried out to ensure the quality of the forests and sales operations:
- We verify that in the selection of the forests offered in the marketplace, we comply with the principle of triple positive impact (environmental, economic, and social criteria) and inform the User of the details of the forest (Forest Information Document).
- We verify that in the selection of the forests offered in the marketplace, we comply with the principle of triple positive impact (environmental, economic, and social criteria) and inform the User of the details of the forest (Forest Information Document).
- For each sale made on the platform, we issue a Contribution Certificate with a unique ID number, guaranteeing the customer that their participation is unique.
- We personally manage the registration of CO2 compensations in MITECO, verifying the correct use of the tonnes of CO2 allocated to the company's carbon footprint compensation.
- We verify the stock control of CO2 absorptions of each forest to avoid double sales.
Through the certification company LRQA, with recognised international experience, we externally verify compliance with the processes that allow us to maintain the strictest quality and triple impact criteria of our forests and commercial operations:
- That the data included in the Motor Verde Marketplace, related to CO2 absorptions and the number of trees associated with each project, according to the design data, including information related to the forest description, are correct.
- That the data included in the Motor Verde Marketplace, related to CO2 absorptions and the number of trees associated with each project, according to the design data, including information related to the forest description, are correct.
- That we carry out stock controls to avoid double sales of CO2 absorptions.
- That communication to customers has taken into account the principles of the "Green Claims" directive.
