Relevant project data
CO2 absorption project through the reforestation of a terrain of 13.13 hectares. Native species have been planted, such as Galician pine (Pinus pinaster ssp. atlántica) and oak (Quercus robur), both adapted to the area's environment and with great potential to offset the carbon footprint. This action contributes to the environmental sustainability and to the action against climate change, promoting the protection of the biodiversity.

Motor Verde Forests
We reforest burned or vacant land with native species in the rural environment in Spain.
We manage the entire reforestation project. From the design and planting of the forest to monitoring and maintenance.
The project has been developed by the Sylvestris Group, a company in which the Repsol Foundation has a stake. With more than 30 years of experience in the forestry sector, the Sylvestris Group is an expert in the design and implementation of absorption projects for carbon footprint offsetting.
The plot is located in San Bartolomeu de Xesta, municipality of A Lama (Pontevedra).
The native species Pinus pinaster ssp. Atlantica has been planted, with a tree density of 1,100 feet/ha, along with Quercus robur, with a tree density of 625 feet/ha. This forest is part of the action that is being developed in the Xesta area on 13,13 hectares, as part of the Green Engine project.
